ロス、クレアモント大学院大学 ペギー・フェルプス・ギャラリーで2人展を開催します。

思えば、去年、マイアミアートバーゼル週間、Red Dotに参加し、そこでNYの展示会の話しや様々なミラクルな事が起こりました。
その帰路、マイアミからロスへの飛行機の中で、今回2人展に発展するジェシカさんと出会いスペシャルミラクルが起こりました。
運よく、私のエージェントがロス在住は、偶然ではなく、必然に思える程でした。
今回は、単なる2人展だけでなく、ユニバーサル・ピース・カンファレンスとの共同企画として開催され、様々なプログラムが組まれ又色々な方と出会える縁に感謝しております。
クレアモント大学院大学の創立100周年とも重なったのも又運と奇跡を感じます。

Created in collaboration with the Fourth Annual Universal Peace Conference, In Harmony brings together artists Hisakazu Suzuki (Japan) and Jessica Csanky (Los Angeles) in a cross-cultural dialogue on peace, meditation, and connection. The two artists met by chance on a flight after Miami Art Week in 2024, sharing images of their work despite not speaking the same language.
Their conversation that day evolved into a creative collaboration. Through painting and mixed media, Csanky and Suzuki explore themes of meditation, balance, and universal connection―the invisible threads that link all living beings through sunlight, moonlight, the experience of color, and elements of our shared earth. Their works invite viewers to pause, breathe, and recognize the beauty of existence. This exhibition explores the energy of harmony and contemplation, reminding us that peace begins in shared awareness―and that art has the ability to transcend limitations of language by speaking through expression and form.
This year’s Peace Conference coincides with the Centennial Celebration of Claremont Graduate University, symbolizing not only a century of learning and creation but also a reaffirmation of our shared brotherhood and sisterhood―beyond the boundaries of borders and nations. The exhibition stands as a reflection of this spirit: an offering of peace through art and cross cultural connection.
第4回ユニバーサル・ピース・カンファレンスとの共同企画として開催される「In
Harmony（イン・ハーモニー）」は、
日本のアーティスト鈴木尚和と、ロサンゼルスのアーティスト、ジェシカ・チャンスキーによる、平和・瞑想・つながりをテーマにしたクロスカルチュラルな対話の場です。
二人は2024年のマイアミ・アートウィークの帰路、偶然同じ飛行機で出会いました。
言葉を交わすことはできなかったものの、お互いの作品を見せ合い、その日から彼らの対話は創造的なコラボレーションへと発展していきました。
絵画とミクストメディアを通じて、チャンスキーと鈴木は、瞑想、バランス、そして普遍的なつながり、太陽光や月光、色の体験、そして地球という共通の要素によって、すべての生命を結ぶ「見えない糸」を探求します。
二人の作品は、鑑賞者に「立ち止まり」「呼吸し」「生きることの美しさを感じる」時間を与え、調和と内省のエネルギーを通じて、
「平和は共有された気づきから始まる」ことを静かに語りかけます。
そして、芸術は言語の限界を超え、形と表現によって心を通わせる力を持つことを示しています。
今年のピース・カンファレンスは、クレアモント大学院大学の創立100周年とも重なります。
それは学びと創造の百年を祝うとともに、国境や民族を超えた「人類の兄弟姉妹としての絆」を改めて確認する節目でもあります。
この展覧会は、その精神を象徴するものとして、芸術を通じた平和と文化の架け橋としての祈りを捧げるものです。
